Caselnova of Mahwah died May 9. He was 82. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was in the restaurant business for 57 years. He is survived by his wife Angelina, his children Lisa Lasner of Warren and Matthew A., and Alan N. both of Mahwah, two grandchildren, and his siblings Marie Ann Caselnova, Lucille Jordan, and Ralph Caselnova. He was 75. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, he was employed at Ramapo College in Mahwah. Previous to that, he worked in the oil fields of Montana and Oklahoma. He was a member of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers. He is survived by his siblings Shari Beck of Aitkin, Minnesota, Van Eldridge of Cadillac, Michigan, and Scott Eldridge of Billings, Montana, six nieces, a nephew, and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Jon K. Epple of Mahwah, formerly of Sparta, died May 11. He was 66. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Before retiring in 2004, he was a law enforcement officer for the Village of Ridgewood Police Department for 36 years. He was a member of Ridgewood PBA Local # 20. He is survived by his wife Martha “Cookie” (nee Greenquist) Epple of Mahwah, his children Christine Gallucci of Marlboro, Laura Epple of Pennsylvania, and Paige Rinkle of Indiana, his mother Dorothy Epple of Florida, 12 grandchildren, and his sisters Karen Gaboury of Florida, Gail Jaasand of Washington, Glenda Epple of Florida, and Harriett Eccelisne of North Carolina. Manuel “Tommy” Joaquin of Milford, Pennsylvania, formerly of Waldwick, died May 10. He was 76. He was the superintendent of the Waldwick Water Department for over 43 years. He was a member of the Waldwick Ambulance Corps. He is survived by his children Linda DeBoer, Bucky, and Todd, eight grandchildren, and his sister Angela Scalors. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Before retiring after 40 years of service, he was employed by the New York City Police Department as where he was a detective lieutenant with multiple commendations of exceptional merit. He had been involved with the Saint Luke’s Track Team and Athletic Association in Ho-Ho-Kus for many years. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, American Legion Post 156, Emerald Society of the NYC Police Department, and the NRA. He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Byrne), his children Robert, Michael, James and Patrick Leonard and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Sylvester and Carmen Leonard.
