Page 10 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • March 24, 2010 Ramsey Review Hoagie Sale to begin Members of the Ramsey High School Big Blue Marching Band and Color Guard will be ringing doorbells Wednesday, March 31 through Sunday, April 18 to take orders for the Annual Spring Hoagie Sale. Hoagies will be delivered on Saturday, April 24. Proceeds from this sale help the band and color guard travel to various competitions. Donations will be graciously accepted. Municipal pool brochure available The pool brochure for the 2010 summer season is now available online at www.ramseynj.com via the municipal pool tab on the left side. Pajama and Book Drive underway The Junior Woman’s Club of Ramsey is collecting new books and pajamas for children in the New Jersey foster care system. The effort will continue through April 18. Donated items will be given to Foster and Adoptive Family Services to distribute to children throughout the state. FAFS is designed to promote literacy for children in foster care by providing gift bags that contain pajamas, slippers, and new books for bedtime reading. Items must be new and appropriate for any age group from infant to teens. A collection bin for donations will be available at the Ramsey Public Library at 171 Lake Street. Soccer registration open Registration for the Ramsey Soccer Association’s fall recreation soccer season, including the Kinderkickers and Challenger programs, has begun. Seniors travel to Cape Cod The Ramsey Seniors have planned a five-day trip to Cape Cod from June 7 through 11. Included in the cost of $439 per person, double occupancy, will be tours of Hyannis, Sandwich, Martha’s Vineyard, Chatham, Provincetown, JFK Museum Eastham Windmill, and other locations. Ready, Set, Relax! -- a community initiative designed to raise awareness about the impact of over-scheduling - is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31.
