Page 6 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • March 10, 2010 Ramsey Election features contest Ramsey’s registered voters will have a choice of four candidates for three seats on the borough’s board of education this year. The four candidates who filed for election by last week’s deadline include incumbents Claudia Monteith and Carrie Williams, and newcomers James Meiman and Timothy Finnegan. This year’s election will be held on April 20. At that time, voters will also have the opportunity to cast their ballots on the 2010-11 budget for the local school district. Finnegan, a 13-year borough resident, holds a BA from Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pennsylvania. For the last 12 years, he has been a supervisory/risk manager for J.P. Morgan Securities. The candidate has been involved in the Ramsey Junior Football Association and the Ramsey Baseball Association for the last six years. His three children attend Ramsey’s schools. Meiman is a lifelong resident of Ramsey. He holds a BS in business administration from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, and an MBA in management from William Paterson University. He is creative (continued on page 11) Falotico promoted Ramsey Police Detective Richard Falotico was promoted to the rank of sergeant at a recent council meeting. Sgt. Falotico is a 15-year veteran and holds a bachelor’s degree from William Paterson College and master’s degree from John Jay College. He is a firearms instructor and a member of the Urban Area Security Initiative, a terrorism readiness program under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security. Sgt. Falotico will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a patrol supervisor.
