Bell joined Boy Scouts as a Tiger in Wyckoff Pack 198 in 2000. He progressed through the ranks of Wolf, Bear, and Webelo, earning the Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting’s highest honor. For his Eagle project, Bell rebuilt the Wyckoff Fire Department Exempts Association Memorial located outside Protection Fire Company #1. An individual who holds the rank of Life Scout must be active in his troop and hold a leadership position, and serve continuously, and in good standing, for a period of at least six months prior to his application for Eagle Scout. He must also complete a service project that is helpful to his religious institution, community, or school, which is approved by his Scoutmaster and the district advancement chairman of the Northern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America.
