Taten Anastasia Thoelen Donna Susan Kuchler (continued from page 5) to know and be kept in the loop of any proposed idea of creating a new zone, such as the proposed B-80 zone, rather that granting me the B-10 zone I requested,” Postolowski said. “Furthermore, I should have also been entitled to know that the council was no longer considering granting me the B-10 zoning.” Postolowski emphasized that, if the township passes this ordinance and creates the new B-80 zone, she will be back where she started and, once again, the lots on which her house is located will be non-conforming. “I feel the introduction of Ordinance 1670 was premature and I question why it came about when you were aware of my pending request for a change,” Postolowski told the council. “It appears to have been introduced in an unfair manner.” She also claimed it would limit her ability to ever develop her land in the future while it would open the door to a developer who wants to build on a much larger scale. Postolowski pointed out that she has been approached by two potential developers for the acquisition of her property. She said one of those developers currently owns the balance of the lots on her block, and a relative of one of those developers is an attorney who works for the township’s law firm. “I see this as a conflict of interest,” she said. Council President John DaPuzzo said he was unaware that Postolowski was not notified about the ordinance, and he asked Postolowski and Alampi to put their concerns in writing. He promised that the council would review the concerns and try to accommodate them. He then moved to have the ordinance tabled so that it could be discussed at the council’s June 10 work session.
