Next Stage eNSemble to perform The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Next Stage eNSemble will perform “The Rover” in the Winter Room of the Mahwah Public Library on Tuesday, July 27 at 7 p.m.

Behn sought to make money first with her poetry, and then with plays and novels. “The Rover” appeared on the stage in 1677. The subtitle, “Banish’d Cavaliers,” is a reference to the world of exile that the Cavalier forces experienced during the interregnum. The play features multiple plots dealing with the amorous adventures of a group of Englishmen in Naples at Carnival time. Each summer, abridged classics are presented by earlycareer actors from the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. The Next Stage eNSemble program brings live theater into New Jersey communities. No tickets are necessary for this program. Seats are free and will be available on a “first come” basis. The Mahwah Library is located at 100 Ridge Road. Board of Health to meet The Mahwah Board of Health will meet at 7:30 p.m. on July 20. The meeting will be held in the municipal building at 475 Corporate Drive. Summer film series continues The Mahwah Public Library’s July film series features big screen blockbusters every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. On July 22, the feature presentation will be “GI Joe: Rise of Cobra.” On July 29, see “Star Trek.” These films are free, and no tickets are necessary. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. The library is located at 100 Ridge Road. Chamber plans Meet & Greet The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce will kick off a new program series for local businesses with a free Morning Meet & Greet on July 29. This networking event will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at Sharp Electronics Corporation, 1 Sharp Plaza, in Mahwah. Attendees will have the opportunity to introduce them-
selves, and are invited to bring promotional materials and literature for the event’s information table. Refreshments will be served. There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required. Residents invited to Paddle Days The Mahwah Paddle Days program sponsored by the Mahwah Recreation Committee will be held July 20, and 27 at Continental Soldiers Park at 5:30 p.m. Canoes, kayaks, life jackets, and instructions donated by Ramsey Outdoor Store will be available to Mahwah residents. Proof of residency is required. Chamber holds networking event The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce’s next networking event, hosted by the Chiro Health Spa of Ramsey, 50 South Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey, will be July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $15 for Chamber members and $30 for nonmembers. Library hosts ‘Dazzling Duets’ “Dazzling Duets,” featuring mezzo-soprano Valerie Coates and alto Stephen Schwarz accompanied by pianist Danijela Popovic, will feature a unique blend of male and female alto voices singing favorites from the Renaissance through 20th century. The program will be held July 21 at 7 p.m. in the Mahwah Library’s Winter Room. This concert is free, and no tickets are necessary. Seats will be available on a “first come” basis.
