Bloustein Distinguished Scholars for the academic year. The honorees include Christie Andolena, Nicole Borglum, Sarah Butler, Adrianna Calleo, David Calzavara, Julia DiPiazza, Ryan Fowler, Lea Frank, Anne-Sophie Gerald, Michael Gwon, Lindsay Mulford, Jade Nicholson, Evan Pankewicz, Euna Park, Michelle Pillepich, Adriana Pollak, Seth Sacher, David Sroczynski, Katharine Tillotson, Joseph Tumulty, and Stephanie Wulz. This scholarship program is under the auspices of the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority which administers the Garden State Scholarship Program for the State of New Jersey. The purpose of this program is to recognize the academic achievement of New Jersey’s secondary school students. The Distinguished Scholars Program provides, without regard to financial need, a $1,000 annual scholarship for up to four years of undergraduate studies at a New Jersey college or university. Twenty-one seniors named Bloustein Scholars The Ramsey Fine Arts Council is offering “A Sampling of the Arts,” a workshop that will introduce children in grades two through six to hip hop dance, improv theater, vocal music, and fine art. The program, which will be taught by adult professionals, will be held at Dater School on Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each child will spend ‘A Sampling of the Arts’ workshop offered at Dater part of the day in each genre. All students must be pre-registered. The Fine Arts Council’s Open Mic at Borders at the Interstate Shopping Center will resume on Jan. 23. Other upcoming events include a photography workshop and Irish Ceili. The Fine Arts Council meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the rear conference room at the Ramsey Municipal Building. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
