Beefsteak & Comedy Night set The Ramsey Ambulance Corps will hold a Beefsteak and Comedy Night on Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 48 Mechanic Street, Ramsey. The evening will include all the beefsteak and french fries you can eat, and wine, beer, soda, and dessert. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of equipment upgrades for the ambulances. Tickets are $50 per person, and tables of 10 may be reserved. Maher has been named to the Dean’s List at Rowan University in Glassboro for the fall 2009 semester. Maher is a senior majoring in special education. Knights set Saint Patrick’s Day Party The Ramsey Knights of Columbus will host a Saint Patrick’s Day Party on Saturday, March 20, from 7 p.m. to midnight, in the Columbian Banquet Room, at the Council Hall, 48 Mechanic Street, Ramsey. The McLaughlin Irish Step Dancers will be the first to entertain and will be followed by the Connolly Brothers, renowned for their fine musical repertoire. Delaney to discuss heart disease Pat Delaney, R.N., director of cardiac outreach with the Valley Hospital, will present “Women and Heart Disease” to the Ramsey Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary on Thursday, March 4. Heart disease is the number one killer of women over the age of 25. One in three women dies of heart disease. The meeting will be held at the Masonic Lodge on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Lake Street in Ramsey at 1 p.m. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
