women since he established his business in 1992. From these conversations he has gleaned “what women want,” when it comes to organizing their closets and other storage systems. The result? No cookie-cutter designs here. Caminiti truly listens to his customers and bases his designs on precisely their needs. Americans will spend nearly $2 billion this year on closet design systems. Pressed for time and loaded with stuff, busy homeowners need expert help in organizing their belongings. That’s Paul Caminiti where Caminiti comes in. It’s not uncommon for him to hear that a client needs space for 150 pairs of shoes and wants them near the closet entrance. One customer, says Caminiti, requested six locked jewelry drawers and a concealed safe, while a Wall Street executive insisted on glass-front drawers and custom-designed drawer dividers for his expansive tie collection. A 6’10” ex-NBA star needed longer vertical space for his jackets and suits, and deep shelf space for his oversized shoes. “I talk to customers to find out how they use their closets, what they have the most of, and what kind of organization would make life easier for them,” says Caminiti. “The closets are designed around their specific needs, not just what looks good on paper.” Caminiti has crafted over 5,000 closets for homeowners in northern New Jersey, Manhattan, and the Hamptons. Some are simple and inexpensive reach-in closets. Others are spacious dressing suites fabricated in elegant laminates or solid wood and outfitted with islands, makeup tables, peninsulas, granite tops, and crown molding. All are efficient. Cami Closet’s emphasis has been to create order, eliminate chaos, and help provide organization to today’s busy homeowner. Call it stress management through wardrobe organization. Cami also does home offices, pantries, garages, laundry rooms, mudrooms and toy storage systems. Cami Closet Creations has moved its office to Mahwah and can be reached at (201) 783-8558 or online at www.camiclosets.com.
