Aspiring engineers
Jim Manzo, technology teacher at Ramsey High School, recently took his engineering students to NJIT‘s annual Engineering Career Day. The program is designed to give high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to explore options in six diverse engineering fields, all on the same day. The engineering fields include biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, electrical and computer engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering, and mechanical engineering. Students were escorted throughout the campus and were able to meet with currently enrolled engineering students and faculty. This event helps students see practical applications for their studies and aims to remedy the shortage of engineers in the U.S. Top row: Andrew Danz, Anthony Mazzella, Chris Gouryh, Thomas Rella, and Manzo.
