She is survived by her children Steven Baetz of Newton, Christina Rifflard of Ringwood, and Alex Baetz of Ramsey, three grandchildren, and her sister Ilse Zimmermann of Germany. Edith Jadwiga Bajek, nee Skawinski, of Ramsey, formerly of Garfield, died Dec. 13. She was 96. She was employed by Finkle Outdoor Products in Garfield for five years, and retired in 1974. She was a parishioner of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Garfield. She was a member of the Polish Rosary Society and Apostleship of Prayer. She is survived by her children Rev. Gerald Bajek of Allendale, and Bernadette Babicz of Ramsey, three grandchildren, and her sister Emily Rakowski of California. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony, her daughter Marianna Baetz Joan Bajek, her grandson Kevin Babicz, her brother William Skawinski, and her sister Nellie Zietko. She had worked as and administrative clerk at Wright Aeronautical Corp during the 1940s. She was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church choir, the cooking ministry, vestry and senior warden at the Church of the Epiphany. She was a Girl Scout leader and advisor, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband John, her daughters Judith Ann Potter of Darnestown, Maryland, Joan Elaine Imperati of Wallkill Township, New York, and Janice Elizabeth Beckwermert of Topsham, Maine, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Marian Bird, nee De Hart, of Saddle River, formerly of Clifton, died Dec. 13. She was 93. She was a descendent of the De Hart family who settled in New York in 1659. She was a 1938 graduate of Montclair State Teachers College, and taught French and Latin in Netcong. She was a 69 year member of the Athenia Reformed Church in Clifton. She was active in the Girl Scouts of America for many years as a leader, and was instrumental in the organization of the Lenni Lenape Council, serving as a vice president on their board of directors. She is survived by her children Susan Ronk, and Peter G. Bird, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Peter H. Bird, her daughter Carol Ann Blahut, and her sister Frances Warth. Arrangements were made by Allwood Funeral Home in Clifton. Genero L. Boone Myrie of Mahwah died Dec. 14. She was 86. She was a graduate of Ramsey High School and Lehman College. She was a career educator with the New York City Board of Education, and she co-owned and operated Fountain of Beauty Hair Salon in Nyack, New York. She was married to James Christopher and had two sons, Milton and Glenn (deceased). She was also married to Rupert Myrie. Arrangements were made by Jeremiah Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. in Peekskill, New York. Inez Dondero, nee Scrivani, of Mahwah, formerly of River Vale and Manahawkin, died Dec. 16. She was 85. She had been a manager of women’s couture at Hartly Fashions of Westwood. During the 1970s and ‘80s, she was the office manager for Mallory Capacitor Co. She was a June M. Beckwermert member of The Columbiettes, Saint Thomas More Council of Westwood, where she served as past- auxiliary president, chapter president, New Jersey state president, supreme president, public relations contact, and council secretary. She is survived by her children Ernest, and Catherine Zahn, five grandchildren, and her brother Angelo of Colonia. She was a director of religious education at Saint Pius Church in Old Tappan, Saint Anthony’s RC Church in Hawthorne, Immaculate Conception RC Church in Mahwah, and Church of the Annunciation in Paramus. She was a graduate from the College of New Rochelle and received her master’s degree from Fordham University. She is survived by her children Julie, Jeanne, and John Medalis, four grandchildren, and her brother Rick Simpson. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Medalis. Ohnegian of Ramsey died Dec. 13. He was 72. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Reserves. He practiced law on Main Street in Ramsey from 1965 until his death. He held many public service positions throughout his career including acting as prosecutor in a number of municipalities. He was chairman of the Bergen County Bar Foundation, chairman of the Supreme Court District Ethics Committee, vice chairman of the Northwest Bergen County Utility Authority, trustee of the Bergen County Bar Association, and member of the Bergen County Charter Study Commission, Bergen County Judicial Appointments Committee, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Bergen County, and American Bar Associations. He was also a director of the Ramsey Savings and Loan, and the Ramsey Education Foundation. He held leadership positions and attended the First Presbyterian Church. He provided legal, coaching, and other support to Ramsey Junior Football and youth baseball for many years. He is survived by his wife Betsy, his children Scott of Glen Rock, Debbie Bennett of Westfield, and Pete of Ramsey, and 11 grandchildren.
