The Ramsey Fire Department’s Sixth Annual Home for the Holidays Parade drew scores of residents. The theme of this year’s event was “Frosty the Snowman.” Dozens of local organizations participated, including the Ramsey High School Band, the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, members of the U.S. Army, Ramsey PBA #155, local veterans, DARE, students from the borough’s schools (Tisdale, Dater, and Hubbard), The Greater Ramsey UNICO, the Mahwah Fire Department, The Salvation Army Band, the Police Bagpipes Band, antique cars, and the Ramsey Fire Department. Refreshments and hot drinks were served at the ambulance corps building, while children made ornaments. Music and entertainment were provided at Ramsey Fire Headquarters following the parade. Main Street was transformed into a walking mall, and everyone was invited to visit the local shops and enjoy socializing with friends and neighbors. Santa visited the Terri O’Connor Real Estate Agency on Main Street, greeting children before and after the Parade of Lights. (Photos courtesy of MeeLon Yee.) Keeping Families Warm Since 1929.
