Before retiring in 2007, he had been employed by Shotmeyer Oil Company, where he had worked since 1960. He was past exalted ruler of the Paramus Elks Lodge #2001, and served on various committees of the Valley Hospital. She was active in local politics, modeled for department stores, coached junior high cheerleading, and formed the girls’ softball program in Ridgewood with her husband.
