Gerard Philip De Nigris Sr. of Mahwah, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died Nov. 20. He was 62. Before retiring, he was vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. He was a member of the Mahwah Community Emergency Response Team. He is survived by his children Gerard P. De Nigris Jr. of Toms River, Jennifer Palmieri of Ramsey, and Paul De Nigris of Mahwah, four grandchildren, his brother Robert De Nigris of Hasbrouck Heights, and his former wife Mary De Nigris. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Patricia De Nigris. Arrangements were made by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights. . Bertha Garrison of Wayne, formerly of Midland Park, died Nov. 20. She was 97. Before retiring, she was a cook at Abraham Lincoln School in Wyckoff for many years. She is survived by her daughter Marie Graf of Midland Park, her three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. Arrangements were made by the Olthuis Funeral Home of Midland Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bergen Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. William J. Geyh of Wyckoff died Nov. 22. He was 88. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was a school teacher for the Westwood Board of Education for 20 years. He was a member of the Faith Community Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff. He served his community as a member of the Wyckoff Fire Department, Sicomac Engine Company #3. He was a member of the Wyckoff Fire Department Relief Association where he served as secretary for 23 years, and was the Wyckoff Fire Department’s chaplain for more than 30 years. He is survived by his daughters Mary Ellyn Hunter of Mahwah and

Joanne Geyh of Wyckoff, two granddaughters, and his siblings Rev. Arthur Geyh, Marion Leonardo, and Peg Caddick. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was a graduate of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station and Fordham University School of Law. She served on the planning board, board of adjustment, library board, and was a member of the borough council (1990-92). She taught at Saint Paul’s Parish School for 25 years. She practiced law in New York until her first child was born. She was active in Saint Paul’s Parish and various civic and social organizations. She is survived by her husband Paul Huot, her children P. Robert of Egg Harbor Township, David C. of Ramsey, and Claire Huot-Mandel of Ramsey, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph L. and Lilias Woods (nee Watt). Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-SneiderPernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. She had been a personal secretary to Mr. Noble of Noble and Noble Publishing of New York City. She is survived by her children Patricia Romano of Ramsey, and Robert Romano of Spring Hill, Florida, and her sisters Rose Cafasso and Jean Giancola. She was predeceased by her husband Pasquale Romano, and her siblings Bella Clerecuzio and Daniel Buongiorno. Arrangements were made by Volk Leber Funeral in Teaneck.
