Committee provides council with candidates’ names
As prescribed by law, the Republican County Committee in Ramsey has provided the Ramsey Council with the names of three prospective successors to Andrew Siemsen, the GOP council member who resigned earlier this month. Municipal Chairman Douglas Rennie told Villadom TIMES last week that the candidates are Kenneth Tyburczy, Richard Daul, and Bryan Behrmann. The council will select its new member from among these candidates. Rennie characterized the three men as “very capable, able people.” He said he was pleased to be able to submit their names to the council for consideration. “All are excellent candidates and Republican activists,” Rennie added. “We are pleased to have them want to be on the council.” The chairman noted that several prospective council members submitted their resumes after learning about the vacancy. The county committee, which had 15 days to make its recommendations after Siemsen stepped down, received resumes from five individuals. Siemsen was president of the Ramsey Borough Council and had served on the governing body since 2006. He said he was stepping down to spend more time with his wife, Michele, and their two young children. Once a new council member has been named, the bor-
ough’s voters will officially elect Siemsen’s successor this November, when they cast ballots on a candidate for the one-year unexpired term.
