Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • April 7, 2010 Ramsey Borough OEM chief among NJEMA’s 2010 officers The New Jersey Emergency Management Association recently inducted its officers for 2010 at the Annual Installation Dinner Dance, held at Doolan’s Restaurant in Spring Lake Heights. Major Dennis McNulty of the New Jersey State Police swore in the officers before a crowd of 100 people. NJEMA officers for 2010 are: President Barry Eck, First Vice President Frank McLaughlin, Second Vice President Mark Vogel, Recording Secretary Margaret Murname, Corresponding Secretary Cathy Maida, and Treasurer Stewart DeVito. Officers also include First Year Memberat-Large Michael Adams, Ramsey OEM Coordinator; Second Year Member-atLarge Howard O’Neil; Third Year Memberat-Large Charlie Rogers; Sergeant-at-Arms William Castagno; Sergeant-at-Arms Thomas Horner; and Finance Chairman Michael Bascom. Jack Burns of Hudson County was named Coordinator of the Year. Paul Caruthers accepted the County of the Year Award, which was awarded to Mercer County. The Technical Support Award went to Paul Davis Restoration, Patrick Wildridge accepting, and Friend of the Association recognition went to Col. Rick Fuentes, with Major McNulty accepting. The EMS Coordinator of the Year was Mickey McCabe, who was instrumental in the EMS operations when US Airways flight 1549, piloted by Chesley “Sully” Sullenberg, made an emergency landing in the Hudson River in early 2009. The New Jersey Emergency Management Association represents all Offices of Emergency Management in New Jersey and is the only state association. Hoffman will show images of the restored vegetable garden, flora borders, vineyards, and orchards. Hoffman is director of operation archaeology for the Division of Cultural and Heri- tage Affairs, and has a master’s degree in plant ecology.
