Ramsey April 28, 2010 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • Page 9 Ramsey’s registered voters have approved the $46,159,075 tax levy associated with the 2010-11 board of education budget, which totals $50,197,978. The balloting included 1,942 in favor of the budget and 1,668 opposed. The associated school tax increase is approximately $332 for the owner of a home valued at the borough’s average assessment of $427,200. Incumbent trustees Carrie Williams and Claudia Monteith won new terms on the board of education, as did newcomer Timothy Finnegan. Finnegan was the top votegetter with 2,084 ballots. Williams received 2,039 votes, and Monteith received 2,022 votes. Newcomer James Meiman narrowly School budget approved; trio of trustees elected missed earning a seat on the board with 1,821 ballots. Finnegan is a 13-year borough resident. He holds a BA from Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pennsylvania. For the last 12 years, he has been a supervisory/risk manager for J.P. Morgan Securities. He has been involved in the Ramsey Junior Football Association and the Ramsey Baseball Association for the last six years. His three children attend Ramsey’s schools. Monteith was a Ramsey Board of Education trustee from 1996 to 2007. In 2009, she returned to the board, filling the unexpired term of Erik Endress.
