Saint John’s presents ‘Godspell’ Saint John’s Memorial Episcopal Church, located on the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Main Street in Ramsey, will present “Godspell” on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 at 8 p.m. The musical includes a series of parables based on the Gospel of Matthew. The cast and musical ensemble include talented Saint John’s parishioners of all ages and members of the Ramsey community. Tickets are $12 each or $65 for six. Advance purchase is recommended. Proceeds benefit the church and the various charitable organizations Saint John’s supports. “Godspell” is a product of the 1970s flower-child generation, so audience members are encouraged to wear their tie-dye apparel to promote the musical’s mood and join in the fun. The group will meet at 9:15 a.m. at the Interstate entrance to Ramsey’s bike path (by the green posts). The walk will follow the bike path, a safe and flat walkway with several benches. Garden Club hosts Plant Sale The Ramsey Area Garden Club will hold its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Ramsey Train Station off Main Street. A large variety of annuals and perennials from professional growers and club members will be available. There will be an assortment of hanging baskets, houseplants, and Mother’s Day gift basket for sale. All proceeds benefit the club’s horticultural and educational programs. The Ramsey Firefighters will be on hand to greet families, offer fire prevention information, run events for children, and share the heritage of the department by showing off some antique trucks that were once used to protect the community. Garry Harr of Baskin Robbins will also be on hand. All proceeds go to help the foundation. Baskin Robbins is located at 233 North Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey.
