PBA aids March of Dimes Members of Mahwah Police Department PBA Local 143 and other local organizations will sponsor a checkpoint at the upcoming March of Dimes March for Babies. The march will be held at Darlington County Park in Mahwah on Sunday, April 25, at 9 a.m. Mahwah PBA members will be handing out water, snacks, and encouragement to walk participants. The March of Dimes works to prevent birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality. Cooperstown fundraiser set The Mahwah 12U Blue Travel Baseball Team is partnering with the Lafayette Theater in Suffern, New York, for a special showing of “Clash of the Titans” (PG-13) on Thursday, April 22 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $7 for adults and children. Doors open at 4 p.m. All proceeds from tickets sales will support the team’s trip to Cooperstown. Fundraiser announced Mahwah High School Sports Boosters is sponsoring a fundraiser lunch and/or dinner -- dine in or take out -- at Chili’s of Ramsey on April 23 and 24. The Sports Boosters Program will receive 10 percent of the proceeds from this event. Chamber scholarship available Applications are now available for the annual Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship for students attending Ramapo College. A portion of the profits from this event will be donated to The DACKKs Group, a Bergen County organization dedicated to helping the homeless make the transition to independent living.
