She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, an inductee to the Immaculate Heart Academy Hall of Fame in Washington Township, a member of the University of Iowa’s President’s Club, and a life-long member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She was an original member of High Mountain Golf Club in Franklin Lakes, and a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth R.C. Church in Wyckoff, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She is survived by her children Jane Gray of Marietta, Georgia, Virginia Biedron of Clarksville, Maryland, Martha Guild of Saddle River, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore J. Bauer, MD, and her daughter Mary L. Bauer. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. He was owner and founder of Atlantic Tubing Company. Prior to that, he was one of five market development specialists for the Dupont Teflon product group. He is survived by his wife Norma, his children Charles Carr, Richard Carr, and Mary Hyde, and eight grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was a steel salesman for Sumitomo Inc. for over 20 years. After his retirement, he worked for the Meadowlands Race Track. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Cramer and Heidi Hill, both of Midland Park, two grandchildren, his niece Sharon Cramer, and his siblings Robert Bauer and Christine Bauer. Cluzel of Wyckoff died March 30. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He had been the owner of the Tavernon Photo Engraving Company in Paterson. He was a member of the 80+ Ski Club. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (nee Slavin), his children Susan Cluzel of Princeton, John M. Cluzel of Mahwah, William M. of Boulder, Colorado and Caroline Cluzel of Wyckoff, and one grandchild. She was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church and was involved with many Assembly of God churches. She is survived by her husband Dow Drukker, her children Gail Parker of Ramsey, and Robert Johnson of Dunwoody, Georgia, stepchildren Joann Hartensveld of Butler and Rhine Drukker of Wayne, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren. Charlotte Fehrle, nee Stolze, of Ridgewood died April 5. She was 83. Before retiring, she had been the secretary for the superintendent of River Dell Regional Schools. She is survived by her sons Donald Fehrle of Bloomingdale, and James Fehrle of Menlo Park, California. She was predeceased by her husband Walter. Arrangements were made by C.C. Isabel Gildea, nee Gaye, of Saddle River died March 30. She was 77. She worked in real estate for most of her career. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Steven Wayne Jongsma of Fremont, New Hampshire, formerly of Midland Park, died April 3. He was 46. His career was spent in the sheet metal fabricating industry including positions with Radiation Systems, Inc. in Wyckoff, Wecom Inc. in Glassboro, Atlantic Machinery in Kingston, New Hampshire, and Amada America in Chicago for 18 years, where he was the general manager. He had been an EMT with the Midland Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He is survived by his wife Laurie Ann (nee Van Dyke), his children Steven William, and Danielle Elizabeth, his mother Elizabeth Jongsma (nee Buma) of Hawthorne, and his brothers Harold, Kenneth, Thomas and David and twin sister Sharon Jongsma. Kearns Jr. of Charlottesville, Virginia, formerly of Ridgewood, died April 4. He was 77. He had a 31-year career in the Mildred Johnson Drukker Charlotte Fehrle U.S. Navy. He was commander of USS Raritan, USS Arcturus, and USS El Paso, and was the commissioning commanding officer of USS Nassau. As a flag officer, he served as Inspector General, U.S. Atlantic Fleet; commanded Amphibious Group Two in Little Creek, Virginia; and served on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, DC. A Master Mariner, he served as civilian master of several U.S. flag vessels following his retirement from the Navy. He is survived by his wife Tammy Weber Kearns of Charlottesville, his children Constance K. Smith of Barboursville, Virginia, Susan K. Tusing of McLean, Virginia, Navy Captain William A. Kearns III of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Thomas E. Kearns of Pahoa, Hawaii, and six grandchildren, and his sister Marcia K. Lyons of Riverside, California.
