She was 95. In 1953, she and her husband opened the Wyckoff Ivy Shop in Wyckoff. She was a member of the North Jersey Country Club, and the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Mahwah. She is survived by her sons, Richard of Wyckoff and Robert of Ringwood, five grandchildren, and her sister Angela DeFino. She was predeceased by her husband Emil, and her brother Ralph Russo. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church. She is survived by her children Robert Bogart, William Bogart, and Marcella Criscione, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her siblings Dorothy Clauss and Allen Seaman. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas J. Bogart. Arrangements were made by Becker Funeral Home Westwood. Louis J. Dougherty, M.D. of Woodcliff Lake died Sept. 19. He was 82. He was an associate professor at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the Department of Urology. He practiced for many years in Midland Park, and was affiliated with Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was a graduate of Portsmouth Abbey, Yale University, and Weill Cornell Medical College. He is survived by his wife Margaret (nee McLoughlin) of Woodcliff Lake, his children Linda Dougherty, Janet Finkle, David Dougherty, Irene Knott, and Susan Dacey, seven grandchildren, and his siblings Barbara Sullivan and Henry P. He was a former police officer of the Allendale Police Department, and of the Allendale Fire Department. He is survived by his children of Daniel of New Jersey, Douglas of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and Todd of Toms River, five grandchildren, and his sisters Madeline Hazen, Rosalie Caruso, and Marian DiDonato. The Reverend Bruce J. Hoffman of Flemington, formerly of Wyckoff, died Sept. 19. He was 71. He served churches in the Reformed Church of America in Schenectady, New York from 1964 to 1970, and Wyckoff from 1970 to 2003. He then served as interim pastor for churches in Oakland, Bergenfield, Lincoln Park, and Kinnelon. While in Wyckoff, he served on the board of the Christian Health Care Center, and was chaplain of the Wyckoff PBA for many years. He was also an active leader in other church and community organizations. He graduated from Hope College and Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan. He is survived by his wife Joanne (TenHaken) Hoffman, his children Sharon Hansen of Waldwick, and Lynda Benton of Ringoes, four grandchildren, and his sisters Judy Cordia of Clymer, New York, and Marilyn Serum of West Chester, Pennsylvania. She had been a teacher and guidance counselor at Eastbrook Junior High School and Paramus High School for 33 years. She was an active member of the New Jersey Education Association and president of the Education Association of Paramus. She was a member of the New York City Ballet Guild, and a member of the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary in Paramus. She is survived by her husband Fred Pieroni of Ridgewood, her stepdaughter Alexandria of Surf City, and her cousins Al and Isabelle Dartley, Kenneth and Chris Dartley, John and Sharon Bardakjy, Joy Bardakjy, Jack Bardakjy, and John and Noreen Bishar. She earned a master’s degree at Columbia Teacher’s College and taught film courses for adult education at Bergen Community College. She was a member of the Paterson Players.
