Genovese discussed the many programs the state is offering to help small business owners. She outlined the incentives the governor is offering to businesses to stay in New Jersey. A question and answer period followed. “While my role is focused on helping the business community, if you need a contact around another issue, I can point you to the right person to take it to,” Genovese told the group. The Allendale/Saddle River Rotary Club’s members have already begun working on a handful of initiatives. Projects include temporary housing for earthquake victims in Haiti, a recreation program for low-income seniors in Paterson, assisting a burn victim in Poland, and raising community awareness of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan by the screening of the documentary “Severe Clear.” The club meets 8 a.m. on Wednesdays at Savini Restaurant in Allendale.
