Attendees will have an opportunity to meet Republican candidates who will be seeking office in the November general election. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. Boy Scouts hold Spaghetti Dinner Boy Scout Troop 133 in Upper Saddle River will hold its Election Day Spaghetti Dinner on Nov. 2 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Old Stone Church Educational Building, 500 East Saddle River Road in Upper Saddle River. The dinner includes salad, Italian bread, spaghetti, dessert, and beverage. Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at the door. Take out orders are available. Proceeds from the event will go toward funding the events, trips, and equipment for the troop. Club welcomes new members, hosts events The Saddle River Valley Newcomers Club welcomes all residents from Saddle River and Upper Saddle River, regardless of the length of their residency. Activities include Book Club, International Club, Out to Lunch, golf, social suppers, and more. A fall Wine and Cheese Party has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23. The book under discussion will be “A Week in December.” Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. The club meets regularly on the first Wednesday of the month at the library at 245 Lake Street. Interior design workshop offered On Oct. 21 at 11 a.m., design staff from Greenbaum Interiors will visit the Upper Saddle River Library and will offer five to 10 minute private consultations. Scouts seek donations of outerwear Girl Scouts Victoria M. and Allison N. of Troops 1271 and 1375 are currently seeking new and clean, gently-used outerwear to be donated to the Boys and Girls Club in Paterson. The Cavallini Middle School students are working toward earning their Silver Awards. Outerwear being collected includes coats, ski jackets, scarves, hats, gloves, boots, and rain boots.
