Mary Byrne D’Annibale of Toms River, formerly of Waldwick, died Oct. 3. She was 72. She was a graduate of Saint Luke’s High School and a parishioner of Saint Luke’s Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. She is survived by her husband Albert Carl D’Annibale; her children Albert D’Annibale of Avon, Connecticut, Christine D’Annibale of Hoboken, and Joseph D’Annibale, Laura D’Annibale Sims, Sandra D’Annibale, and Tracy Green, all of Waldwick; 19 grandchildren; her brother Terry Byrne, and her sisters Patricia Leonard, Doreen Murray, Alice Good, and Brenda Byrne. She was predeceased by her parents Martha and Myles Byrne, and her brother Myles Byrne. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Ginger D’Ercole, formerly of Waldwick, died Oct. 1. She was 74. She is survived by her husband Anthony, her sons Tony and Stephen, and five grandchildren. Joseph P. Manganaro Sr. of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Oct. 2. He was 90. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he owned and operated MKM Builders for many years. He was a former parishioner of Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River and Saint Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey. He is survived by his children Joseph R. Manganaro Jr. of Old Tappan, and Barbara A. Catanese of Avalon, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his siblings Ronald Manganaro of Upper Saddle River and Rita Galatro of Glen Rock. He was predeceased by his wife Mae (Dolce) Manganaro. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc. in Fair Lawn. He is survived by his wife Altaima McGowan, his daughter Icilin Senior, two grandchildren, and his sister Ruby Joseph. Arrangements were made by Scarr Funeral Home Inc. in Suffern, New York. Robert “Bob” William Meyer of Nantucket, Massachusetts died Oct. 2. He was 72. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a 1957 graduate of Ridgewood High School and a 1962 graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He worked for Hess Oil and Chemical Co. as a regional sales manager, then went on to start several small oil and chemical wholesale companies over the next two decades. Before retiring, he was co-owner and vice president of Metro Oil and Chemical Corp. He had been a member of the Ridgewood Country

He is survived by his children Heather Jones of Macungie, Pennsylvania, Robin Terres of Hingham, Massachusetts, and Tuck of Nantucket, five grandchildren, and his sister Virginia Marshall of Cohasset, Minnesota, Harold of Washington Depot, Connecticut, and Barbara Vanderbilt of Nantucket, the mother of his children. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Natoli, and her sister Anne Thomasino (Saint Thomas), and brothers Joseph and Frank Galanzo. Board of education meeting set The Upper Saddle River Board of Education will meet on Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. in the media center of the Cavallini Middle School, 392 West Saddle River Road. Harvest Festival coming October 17 The Harvest Festival and Petting Zoo at the HopperGoetschius House Museum in Upper Saddle River will be held Oct. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m., This event will feature a variety of activities for children and adults. There will be a Petting Zoo with goats, lambs, donkeys, ducks, chickens, and rabbits; pony rides; and demonstrations of colonial crafts such as spinning, chair caning, wood carving, quilting, bobbin lace making, and rug braiding. Watch the cider pressing in the old Dutch barn and enjoy a taste of fresh cider. Taste one of yesteryear’s recipes cooked over the open hearth fire in the out kitchen. Come for lunch. There will be grilled hot dogs and soda to purchase. Visit the fortune teller and find out what your future holds. There will be old-fashioned games and activities for children. Everyone is invited to guess the weight of the Giant Pumpkin. This year, there will be a special area featuring several antiques and crafts dealers and artists. The museum and barn will be open for special tours. The Hopper Goetschius House Museum is located at the corner of East Saddle River Road and Lake Street in Upper Saddle River.

Northwest Bergen County Catholics are invited to pray the rosary for the country and for world peace on Saturday, Oct. 16 at noon at Veterans Plaza, East Prospect Street in Waldwick.
