Page 22 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • November 17, 2010 Obituaries Richard J. Brusco of Allendale died Nov. 4. He was 87. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Northeastern University. He was employed at the Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. in Thompsonville, Connecticut, served as plant manager of the Georgia (Bigelow) Rug Mill in Summerville, Georgia from 1960 to 1967, and was instrumental in the planning and construction of the carpet warehouse and tufting facility in Lyerly, Georgia and Ste. Agathe, Quebec, Canada. He became the vice president of manufacturing in the main office in New York City and in Greenville, South Carolina. His career with the Bigelow Sanford Carpet Company spanned 25 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgewood. He was a former member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Westfield, Massachusetts, where he served on the church council and the church building committees. He is survived by his wife Helen Kiendzior Brusco, and his daughter Dr. Elizabeth E. Brusco of Tacoma, Washington, his sister Elizabeth B. Simmons of Westfield, Massachusetts, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son David J. Brusco, and his brother Edward. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Catherine A. Fairweather, nee Taranto, of Haskell, formerly of Whiting, Oakland, and Waldwick, died Nov. 8. She was 92. She was a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, Oakland; Saint Luke’s RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, where she had been a member of the Rosary Society; and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church in Whiting, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and a volunteer in the church library. She served as a volunteer at Valley Hospital’s Kurth Cottage. She is survived by Richard J. Brusco her children Carolyn J. Hughes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Janice A. Webster of Oakland, Karen F. Fairweather of Fair Lawn, Paul A. Fairweather of San Marcos, California, Arthur R. Fairweather of New Market, Maryland, Gregory L. Fairweather of Hewitt, and Donald J. Fairweather of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her siblings Christina Hartman of Paramus, Bartolomeo Taranto of West Caldwell, and Francis Taranto of Englewood Cliffs. Martha Regenburg Foote of Sacramento, California, formerly of Midland Park, Ridgewood, Ramsey, and HoHo-Kus, died Oct. 23. She was 93. She was a 1936 graduate of Ramsey High School. She is survived by survived by her daughter Janice Pina of Sacramento, California, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister-inlaw Jane Foote of Wayne, two nieces, two nephews, and her cousin Lorraine Ruggiero of Wyckoff. Harper of Ridgewood, formerly of Bergenfield, died Nov. 7. He was 61. He was an employee of Sprint, and formerly Nextel in Rutherford. He is survived by his children David J. Harper Jr., and Chris Harper, his mother Doris Harper, his brother of Robert Harper Jr. and two nephews. He was predeceased by his father Robert Harper. Anne McSweeney of Ramsey, formerly of Hoboken, died Nov. 9. She was 92. Early in her career, she was a secretary for the Goodwill-Rescue Mission in Newark. She is survived by her daughters Claire Van Eck of Midland Park, Carol Faber of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Mary Ruth DeVries of Winter Haven, Florida, five grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, and her sister Dorothy Nagle of Centerville, Massachusetts.
