Annual Christmas Tree Sale to begin The Wyckoff Lions Club will hold its annual Christmas Tree Sale at the Getty Gasoline Station/Car Wash across from Boulder Run on Franklin Avenue beginning Friday, Nov. 26. New this year will be custom made wreaths. Tree choices will include Frazier fir, balsam, and Douglas fir. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays form 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Wyckoff Lions Club raises funds for local charities. Recent recipients have been the Love Fund of Wyckoff, Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, Guide Dog Foundation, Camp Marcella, the Christian Health Care Center, and West Bergen Mental Health. The group also provides scholarships for local students. Learn to bake challah Learn how to prepare challah, the special bread eaten on Shabbat and Jewish holidays, at the next “Cooking up Traditions” session on Friday, Nov. 19 at 9:15 a.m. at Temple Beth Rishon. Parents’ Night Out set Abundant Life Reformed Church, 475 Lafayette Avenue in Wyckoff, will host Parents’ Night Out on Friday, Nov. 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Church volunteers will mind the children to allow parents some time to start holiday shopping, take in a movie, or just enjoy some much deserved free time. Children may enjoy a movie, arts and crafts, and entertainment by Mad Science. Participants are asked to bring a canned good to be donated to the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation Food Pantry. Throughout that week, several individuals will find Devon’s small white bags with orange tags “hidden” in plain sight. Inside each one will be a piece of fine jewelry. This promotion is being run in honor of Devon Fine Jewelry’s 31st year in business. Thirty-one bags of jewelry will be “hidden” in 22 communities, according Devon owner Nancy Schuring. Schultz to present ‘Garden in Winter’ Janet Schultz will present “From Inside Out: Garden in Winter” to the Woman’s Club of Wyckoff on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Schultz, a horticulture lecturer and TV commentator, has been featured in the “New York Times.” Her garden is listed in The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Directory. Newcomers plan Wine Tasting The Wyckoff Newcomers and Neighbors will host a Couples’ Wine Tasting on Friday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Abbey at the Ramsey Country Club. The cost is $35 per person and includes a sampling of various wines and light appetizers. Newcomers’ club members and those interested in joining the group are welcome. Hogarth to address Chamber The Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce will host guest speaker Richard Hogarth of Group Strategies on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 8 a.m. Hogarth will discuss the rising costs of health care and how businesses are affected. Hogarth has worked in the managed care industry for over 20 years. The meeting will be held at the Larkin House, 380 Godwin Avenue in Wyckoff.
