(continued from page 18) “Wicked” by SYRT, and a performance by The Dancer’s Edge. Kids enjoyed balloon making, face painting, a game tent sponsored by the Allendale Community for Mature Living, clowns, free activities sponsored by community groups, a giant bounce house, and an obstacle course. Everyone loved the great food served by AB&G, Bernie’s Bagels, Darla’s Porch, and Allendale Eats. The Car Show included 65 cars, with nine exotics, and a 1934 Rolls Royce that won a $500 gift certificate for “Best in Show.” Allendale is well-known as an old fashioned, wonderful town with great school district. We also maintain a charming downtown shopping district that many do not know about, so our Festival Day and Car Show allow us to showcase our best assets. This annual event is a “thank you” to our community for its patronage of our member businesses throughout the year. We have access to so much, including financial services, early childhood schooling, mortgage financing, dental care, pool care, and adult housing and care, located right here in our town.
