He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Skull and Swords Honor Society, an assistant patrol leader for the National Ski Patrol, and played semi pro hockey for the Barre Blackhawks and the Rangers farm team. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Duren) of Upper Saddle River; his daughters Dawn M. Tracy of Orlando, Florida and Sherri A. He was a member of The American Legion Post 274 Fort Myers, Florida, V.F.W. Post 1049 Waldwick, USS Randolph Reunion Association and The US Navy Honor Guard Washington, D.C. alumni member.
