Participants in 5K were strong to the finish
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce’s 5K Run-1 Mile Walk last week was a major success, with only a limited number of no shows. “It’s a true testament to the faith our runners have in us,” commented Chamber President Christine Figliuolo. “Down at the starting line for the 1 mile walk, a teacher from town came up to me and said, ‘This is what it’s all about - the community, the kids and parents all coming together; I love this town.’ It certainly was not fun working in those conditions, but when you hear that positive feedback from the participants, it makes what we did yesterday all worth it,” Figliuolo added.
