Upper Saddle River March 31, 2010 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 9 On Saturday, June 5, the Upper Saddle River Recreation Commission will hold its Seventh Annual Upper Saddle River Youth Triathlon. This triathlon is open to all children ages 8 through 14. Annual youth triathlon, design contest set To encourage interest in this annual event, the USR Recreation Commission is also organizing a T-Shirt Design Contest for all children who live in Upper Saddle River or attend school in the borough. The first prize winner will receive a bike, and his or her design will appear on this year’s official triathlon T-shirt. The triathlon will incorporate swimming, biking, and running. The children will begin their swim at the Saddle River Valley Swim and Tennis Club, and bike to Lions Park, where they will finish the running portion of the triathlon. Participants will be divided into two groups, depending on their age. The swimming, biking, and running distances will be different for each group. Food and prizes will be set up at the finish line in Lions Park. Sponsors and volunteers are welcome to help.
