Chohan named to Dean’s List Ali Chohan of Upper Saddle River has been named to the Dean’s List at Caldwell College for the fall 2009 semester. In order to achieve this honor, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and complete at least 12 credits during the semester. Business ownership workshop offered Franchise consultant Jerome J. Williams will offer a workshop on business ownership on Tuesday, April 20. The session will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Upper Saddle River Library, 245 Lake Street, Upper Saddle River. This workshop is designed to provide general information and to help attendees ask the right questions about starting a business. Cultural Center offers children’s programs Saddle River Valley Cultural Center is offering a production of “The Wizard of Oz” on Sunday, March 28. Michalski, an avid gardener, will outline a simple and affordable technique to backyard leaf composting. Fishing Derby set The Upper Saddle Recreation Commission has scheduled its Annual Fishing Derby for Saturday, May 1 at Liberty Park from 9 a.m. to noon. The first session will be held on Mondays or Wednesdays beginning the week of March 29, with no lessons the week of school break.
