She was a volunteer with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary in Ridgewood. She is survived by her children James Davis of Ossining, New York, Alan Davis of Mead, Colorado, Susan Skodocek of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Kenneth Davis of Midland Park, Barbara Davis of Waldwick, Mary Ellen (Davis) and David Davis of Waldwick, six grandchildren, and one great grandson. Hayes of Venice, Florida, formerly of Waldwick, died Feb. 27. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Before retiring, he was a police officer with the New York Police Department. He is survived by his wife Corinne, his children Bernard J., Keith, Vincent, Gerard and Robert Hayes, 12 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was a member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Woman’s Club, a volunteer at the Hermitage, and Kurth Cottage. She was a member of Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. Before retiring, she was employed by American Express for 20 years. She later pursued a career in education working in the Ridgewood schools, Assumption Academy in Emerson, and Saint Elizabeth’s School in Wyckoff. She was a volunteer Brownie leader, art docent, and a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her husband Ron and her children Jonathan Roth and Sarah Knott.
