Page 2 THE VILLADOM TIMES I, II, III & IV • June 23, 2010 Villadom Happenings Monroe Avenue to close for paving Beginning Monday, June 28, Monroe Avenue in Wyckoff will be closed from Franklin Avenue to the intersection of Pinewood Drive and Monroe Avenue. Work is anticipated to last for two days. Monroe Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the improvement. Motorists should expect detours and plan for extra travel time or plan an alternate route. The improvement is anticipated to require two to three rain-free days. Township residents may register their e-mail addresses at the “site registration” on the home page of Wyckoff on the Web, and updates will be e-mailed as they are posted. Chamber hosts baseball event The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Inter-Chamber Consortium will host a networking picnic and baseball game with the New Jersey Jackals and Brockton Rox at Yogi Berra Stadium on Tuesday, July 27. A private picnic area located on the first base side of the stadium will be available throughout the entire game for participants to network with one another. The picnic and evening of networking will begin at 6 p.m. The baseball game will start at 7:05 p.m. at the stadium, which is located on the campus of Montclair State University in Upper Montclair. The price of $20 includes a reserved seat to the game, unlimited hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches for the first 90 minutes once the gates open, and unlimited beverages throughout the game. Support group to meet LifeLines, a supportive and informative resource for prostate cancer patients and their partners in Northern Bergen County, will meet Tuesday, June 22 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. The group was formed by prostate cancer patients to share information and experience about available treatment and service resources.
