Margaret “Marge” Connors of Paterson, formerly of Wyckoff, died June 13. She was 66. She is survived by her husband Pete Connors; her children Sean Patrick, Bridgit Colleen Schulz and Debra Lynn Polston; four grandchildren, and her siblings Dennis Scott of Rogers, AZ, Clarence Scott III of Congers, NY, Sharon Scott of Merrills Inlet, SC, and Linda Herrera of Sebring, FL. Arrangements were made by Scillieri Funeral Home in Paterson. Antonio “Nino” Del Duca of Ridgewood died June 15. He was 86. He is survived by his daughters Ornella Muth and Silvana Iacoviello, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Del Duca. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Sofia Gilshteyn of Wyckoff died June 16. She was 47. Arrangements were made by Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn. Ruth L. Herndon of Austin, TX, formerly of Allendale, died June 14. She was 94. She is survived by her children Kenneth and Joan Herndon of Boynton Beach, FL, Robert and Susan of Allendale, F. William and Kate of Raleigh, NC, Leslie Splendoria of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her sister Barbara Fahey of Boerne, TX. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Herndon. Alan Richard Jackson of Hayesville, NC, formerly of Waldwick, died June 14. He was 84. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He had been a truck driver for Modern Handling of Hasbrouck Heights for over 25 years. He had been a member of the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department for 33 years. He is survived by his wife Barbara Lifman Jackson; his children Lynn Rider of Denver, CO, Alan Richard Jackson Jr. of Clearfield, UT, and Craig Jackson of Martins Creek, NC; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Arrangements were by Ivie Funeral Home in Hayesville, NC. Kevin J. Kenny of Waldwick died June 16. He was 57.

He worked for Promotion in Motion in Clark. Previously, he worked for Nabisco and Sharp Electronics. He was a parishioner of Saint Luke’s RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. He was a basketball coach for Saint Luke’s CYO and the Waldwick Youth Basketball League. He is survived by his wife Michele (nee Saner); his children Erin Seifert, Meghan Maloney, and John Kenney; two grandchildren, and his siblings Martin Kenney Jr., James Kenney, and Regina DeVos. He was 77. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Before retiring in 2000, he was an executive in the chemical industry. He was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Wyckoff, and a volunteer at the food pantry through Saint Elizabeth’s Church. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Rocks) McGarvie of Allendale; his children, Patricia Rabinowitz of Ho-Ho-Kus, Jeanne Dunn of Bedford, NY, Kathleen Hogan of Delmar, NY, John McGarvie of NY, NY, Robert McGarvie and Carolyn Edwards of Ramsey, and Mark McGarvie of Waldwick; 14 grandchildren, and his brother James McGarvie of Fort Myers, FL. He was employed as a quality control manager with Ford Motor Company in Mahwah and Edison for 30 years before retiring in 2003. He was parishioner of Saint Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Saint Anne Council Post 2853 of Fair Lawn. He is survived by his wife Mary Roberta (O’Meara) Maguire, his children John Maguire of Lyndhurst, Kevin Maguire of Ridgewood and Brian Maguire of Fair Lawn, and his siblings Eileen Maguire of Miami, FL, and Kevin Maguire of Mahwah. Lake, died June 12. He had served in the National Guard. He was a co-founder and partner of First Bergen Title Agency LLC of Hackensack. Previously, he was manager of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company of Hackensack for 39 years. He was a member of the American Land Title Association and the New Jersey Land Title Association. He was a parishioner of Saint Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. He is survived by his children Jean Meccia of Saddle River, Allen J. Meccia of River Edge, and Susanne Meccia of Saddle River; four grandchildren, and his siblings James Meccia of Mahwah, and Barbara Krankowski of Henderson, NV. He was predeceased by his wife Marie J. Mandara Meccia, his daughter Diane Meccia, and his brother Walter Meccia. Arrangements were by G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home in Hackensack. (continued from page 7) Promenade at Tuxedo Place, made blankets with the Promenade residents to donate to the Bucharest children. Seeing this school-wide response, Duffy stated, “When I spoke to the students about possibly getting involved in helping these children, the students wholeheartedly responded. They have been truly excited about impacting the lives of the children in Bucharest, and they can’t wait for the updates on how many pajamas they’ve collected and how much money they have raised. I am thankful for their compassion and leadership.” Duffy will take the pajamas and donations to her colleagues in Ireland this month who will deliver the donations to Bucharest. Ultimately, the Tuxedo Park School donation will include over 250 pairs of pajamas, three homemade blankets, and over $1,400 worth of strollers and supplies.
