Tiger Cub Pack 54 recruits members Ho-Ho-Kus Cub Pack 54 will hold a Tiger recruitment event on Saturday, June 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department adjacent to borough hall. Attendees can meet the Boy Scouts, leaders, and Cubs while learning about the program. The Boy Scouts and HoHo-Kus firemen will present a demonstration. Refreshments will be served. Scholarship winners named Local high school seniors, William Hamilton, Catherine Ramirez, and Megan O’Brien were awarded scholarships from the Home and School Association of HoHo-Kus. The association awards three $1,000 scholarships to students who dem-
onstrate academic achievement and community service. Library board to meet The Worth Pinkham Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the library, which is located at 91 Warren Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus. Seniors plan events Tom O’Brien will present “Built for the Road Ahead” at the next meeting of the Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors on June 22 at 1 p.m. O’Brien will offer a visual presentation of the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah from 1955 to 1980. It will include experiences from people who worked there. On July 20, the seniors will hold a buffet lunch at the Shadowbrook Restaurant in Shrewsbury, followed by cruise on the River Belle on the Manasquan River and, weather permitting, Point Pleasant Canal and Barnegat Bay. The River Belle is a rep-
lica of a Mississippi river boat. Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors group meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Education Center of the Hermitage. Dessert and beverages are served at noon with programs at 1 p.m. Residents who are age 55 and over are welcome to join the group for programs and trips. Summer reading program available Registration for the summer reading program, “Make a Splash,” at the WorthPinkham Memorial Library will run through the month of June. Children ages two and older are welcome to participate. Parents are encouraged to visit the library at 91 Warren Avenue to register their children for this annual event.
