Lisella receives scholarship Zachary Lisella of Allendale was recently awarded a New Jersey Association of REALTORS® Educational Foundation award, the RealSource Association of REALTORS®, in memory of Rose Gioia and Martha “Marti” D’Angelo. Awards were presented to 37 recipients at The Pines in Edison. Scholarships are given to high school seniors who will be attending and undergraduate four-year institution, students currently enrolled in undergraduate four-year institution, and students pursuing graduate studies in real estate or related fields. Students are selected based on criteria such as academic achievements, financial needs, interest in real estate endeavors, and contributions to family, school and community. Barn Sale donations sought The Concerned Citizens of Allendale, the non-profit group that owns and manages the John Fell House, is seeking donations for its Barn Sale to raise funds for the restoration and maintenance of the historical house and property. Gently used household items, furniture, sporting goods, tools, children’s items, and lamps are needed for the sale. Items may be dropped off on June 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at 475 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale. Sale items are not from the Fell House. For more information, call (201) 783-8754. Summer arts academy offers classes The Brookside Summer Arts Academy, formerly known as the Brookside Summer Music Program, is offering classes for students who are entering kindergarten through grade eight. Courses will include a ceramics workshop, painting studio, Broadway dance class, chorus theater workshop, and music theory. Session A will begin July 5; Session B will begin July 19. Girl Scouts hold membership drive The Allendale Girl Scouts are now accepting registrations for 2010-11. Girls and their families may sign up as members of a Girl Scout troop, or as individual Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey offers many exciting programs for girls of all ages.
