Berkeley College announces Dean’s List Upper Saddle River residents Mary Aufiero and Amanda Brown have been named to the Dean’s List at Berkeley College, Bergen Campus in Paramus for the winter quarter. Students who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for this honor. Art exhibit and reception planned An exhibit of Upper Saddle River artists’ work will be held during the month of May at the borough’s library, 245 Lake Street. Annual Strawberry Festival set The 53 annual Strawberry Festival hosted by Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church, 318 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, will be held Saturday, June 12. From 1 to 7 p.m. participants will be able to enjoy delicious local strawberries, homemade cakes, and local ice cream. Other features of the festival will be hamburgers and hotdogs, events for children, vendor booths, a special auction, and entertainment by local groups. All desserts are made to order with slices of home-baked pound cake, freshly-picked New Jersey strawberries, and vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream. This family-oriented event is one of the church’s largest fundraisers each year. All proceeds are used for the work and missions of the church. Successful sale
The Annual Plant Sale held by the Saddle River Valley Junior Woman’s Club was a success. Residents from the Saddle River Valley who ordered plants had them delivered right to their door just in time for the holiday. The SRVJWC thanks everyone who supported this fundraiser.
