Celia Burke, nee Kopchinski, of Waldwick died May 29. She was 93. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Burke. She was predeceased by her husband George J. Burke. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. Francis S. Farrissey of Allendale died May 28. He was 79. He was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring in 1990, he was a president of Raymond Eisenhardt & Son in Oakland. He was a parishioner of Church of the Guardian Angel in Allendale. He was a member of the VFW Post of Allendale and Knights of Columbus in Teaneck. He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (nee Van Kirk), his daughters Jacqueline Farrissey of Lakeland, Florida, Suzanne Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Jennifer McCarthy of Hoboken, four grandchildren, and his sisters Catherine McCardle of North Cape May and Marie Brett of Park Ridge. He was predeceased by his son Stephen Farrissey, and his sister Margaret McGavin. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Clement “Clem” Gallahue of Waldwick died May 29. He was 90. He was a carpenter foreman through the New Jersey Carpenter’s Union for J. Fletcher Creamer and Sons. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5257 at Saint Luke’s RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. He is survived by his son Robert Gallahue, three grandchildren, and his sister Nora Dwyer. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, and his brother Alphons Gallahue. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. He was 60. He was director of merchandising and a buyer for Thom McAn and Mel Disco for over 40 years. He had been a coach for Ho-Ho-Kus Baseball and Basketball associations. She is survived by her children Patricia Marcinowski, Dr. James Markstein Jr., David Markstein, Maureen Krane, Joanna Rippon, and Henry Koelln, seven grandchildren, and her sister Adelaide Nierengarden. Before retiring in 1990, she had been the school nurse at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Ridgewood for 25 years. She had been the supervisor of pediatrics at Christ Hospital in Jersey City from 1938 to 1948. She had been an active member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood for over 50 years. She is survived by her children Robert of New York, Francis (Hank) of Ridgewood, Deborah Dunphy of Duxbury, Massachusetts, Raymond of River Vale, and Stephen of Driggs, Idaho, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. O’Connor, and her sister Katherine (Kay) Roti. A memorial visitation will be held at C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood on Friday, June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood. Currently, he is director of capital planning, design, and construction with William Paterson University of New Jersey in Wayne. Previously, he was with the construction department for the World Trade Center with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The honoree and his wife, Sheila, have resided in Ramsey for over 40 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. The Iaoapogh Mountains District serves more than 3,000 Boy Scouts in the area, including the communities of Allendale, Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Mahwah, Midland Park, Oakland, Ramsey, Ridgewood, and Saddle River.

Walter Edward Perdue of Anna Maria, Florida, formerly of Ridgewood, died May 3. He was 79. He owned and operated Perdue’s Sport Shop in Ridgewood. He was member of the Class of 1949 from Ridgewood High School. He was among the first inductees into the Ridgewood High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. He is survived by his wife Barbara Voorman Perdue, his children Beth Perdue Sontag of Ringwood, and Mitchell Perdue of Ridgewood, two grandchildren, and his siblings Jean Perdue deGruchy of Ridgewood, and William Perdue of Plano, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13 at 3 p.m. at the West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe Street, Ridgewood.
