Vendors sought The Ho-Ho-Kus Community Church is seeking vendors for its Holiday Bazaar scheduled for Nov. 13. Space reserved by Oct. 15 will cost $50 for an upstairs booth, and $40 downstairs. After Oct. 15, booths will be available at $75 and $60 each. The annual event will feature favorites for the holidays, including handmade crafts, baked goods, preserves and jellies, a book stall, a café, and musical entertainment. Antique show planned at Hermitage The Hermitage at 355 North Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, will be the setting for an Antique Show on Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Sponsored by Friends of the Hermitage and promoted by P.J.’s Promotions, the show will feature dealers set up on the tree shaded front lawn. Furniture, estate and costume jewelry, silver, yellow ware, art pottery, vintage buttons, linens and textiles will be offered for sale along with antiquarian books and scientific instruments, country store items, fine china, Depression glass, primitives, lighting, Hummels, toys, crocks, woodenware, and more. Program on self-esteem offered The Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey will host a self-esteem program for girls in grades three through six on July 21 at the Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library, 91 Warren Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus. “Discover the Beauty Within” will help girls learn about themselves and raise their self-assurance. Participants will discuss the messages the media sends about beauty, and will have an opportunity to make scented bath salts. The program, which runs from 2:30 to 4 p.m., is free, and open to all girls, Girl Scout membership not required. For more information contact the library at (201) 445-8078. Combined meeting scheduled The Ho-Ho-Kus Council’s work session, which was scheduled for Tuesday, July 20, has been moved to Tuesday, July 27. The meeting, which will be a combination work session and public session, will be held at a time yet to be determined. Artist exhibits carvings Waldwick resident Jeff Seise will exhibit his carvings at the Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library during the month of July. Seise’s wood carved art ranges from the human form to wild fowl. While basswood is his preferred medium, Seise will utilize what ever wood is at hand. After 39 years of teaching music and computers, Seise retired from the Park Ridge school district. He continues to work as a piano technician and is a registered craftsman in the Piano Technicians Guild. He is a member of the National Woodcarvers Association and vice president of the North Jersey Carvers, the New Jersey Chapter of the National Woodcarvers Association. Seniors hold meetings The Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the Education Center of the Hermitage. Dessert and beverages are served at noon with programs at 1 p.m. Residents who are

Summer reading program available Registration for the summer reading program, “Make a Splash,” at the WorthPinkham Memorial Library will run through the month of June. Ho-Ho-Kus mugs for sale The Ho-Ho-Kus Branch of the Valley Hospital is selling 14-ounce travel mugs. The mugs, made of stainless steel, sport the Ho-Ho-Kus monogram and swivel tops.
