She was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church, the Wyckoff Woman’s Club, and the Garden Club in Long Beach Island. She was an alumna of Zeta Kappa Phi. She is survived by her husband Richard P. Passaro, her children William A., Laura M. Jensen, Paul C. and John K. Passaro, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sister Marie Lyle. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Brown. Concetta “Connie” Polisse of Midland Park, formerly of Fair Lawn and Boca Raton, Florida, died July 3. She was 98. She had been secretary for Bishop Fulton J. Sheehan during his visits to Mount Carmel Guild in Paterson. She had been an office manager for the family’s business, Mars Electric in Passaic. She helped establish the library at Bergen Catholic High School and served as secretary to the principal. She was a volunteer for Hospice by the Sea in Florida. She was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. She was one of the last surviving widows of a World War I veteran. She is survived by her children Grace Byrne of Barnegat Light, Betty Sullivan of Midland Park, and Peter Polisse of Engadine, Michigan, 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and one great, great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, her granddaughter Marysue Sullivan Gates, her siblings Rocco and Russell Caporaso, George Bruno, and Grace Daloisio. She is survived by her husband Sid, her sons Jason of New Jersey, and Jordan of Las Vegas, one grandchild, his mother Ruth Fine of Henderson, and his brother M. Nelson Segel of Las Vegas. Schroeder Jr. of Saddle River, formerly of Pearl River, New York, died July 7. He was 75. Before retiring in 2000, he was an internist in Pearl River for 37 years, and on the staff of Nyack Hospital in New York. He was a member of the Pearl River Rotary for over 44 years and was a Paul Harris Fellow. In the early 1970s, while working with the Rotary and members of the Pearl River Ambulance Corps, he organized and trained the first volunteer ambulance telemetry cardiac care with Nyack Hospital. He served as doctor for the Pearl River Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Geraldine H. Schroeder of Saddle River, his children Cynthia Anne Schroeder of Charlottesville, Virginia, Dr. Keith G. Schroeder of Spencerport, New York, and Dr. Todd R.
