From 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers can come to the Paterson Museum at 2 Market Street in Paterson’s historic mill district for a morning of building modular wall units and fundraising. The walls and the funds raised will be used to build Habitat homes for lowincome working families. Teams of volunteers can sponsor a board for a Habitat house with a $250 donation. Individuals are also welcome to sponsor boards. The highlight of the morning for most sponsors is hammering their boards into a wall module that will become part of a Habitat house in Paterson. In a Hammer for Habitat tradition, sponsors can inscribe their boards with personal messages to homeowner families. The morning also includes family fun activities, music, food and a chance to enjoy the museum’s exhibits. Teams and individuals can register with Paterson Habitat in advance by going to the organization’s website: www. patersonhabitat.org. Volunteers who cannot register in advance will still be able to participate.
