Mickey Mouse collectibles on exhibit The Mickey Mouse collectibles of Doris Wagner are on display at the Waldwick Public Library, where they will remain through Saturday, Feb. 27. Among the many colorful Mickey and Minnie Mouse items on display are dolls, bears, toys, figurines, commemorative pins, a tote bag, basket, and blanket. Demonstrating how long the collector has been a fan of the famous mouse, the exhibit also features a 1933 black and white photograph of Wagner in a Minnie Mouse Halloween costume. The Mickey Mouse exhibit represents just a fraction of the thousands of collectibles that have found a home in the house that Wagner’s grandfather built on Cleveland Avenue in 1902. An avid collector of dolls, bears, beanie babies, spoons, cookbooks, postcards, and almost anything else you can name, Wagner traces her interest in collecting to early childhood when Santa brought her a new doll every year. Wagner’s mother was a seamstress and crafted many fashionable dresses for her and her dolls. The library is located at 19 East Prospect Street in Waldwick.
