Ho-Ho-Kus August 11, 2010 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 7 Rinderknecht to take over as interim administrator by Jennifer Crusco David L. Rinderknecht, the business administrator and school board secretary who distinguished himself by serving the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District for 17 years, will join the Ho-HoKus Public School as interim administrator on Sept. 1. Since his 2004 retirement, Rinderknecht has offered his services to local school districts on an interim basis. He recently served the Northern Highlands Regional High School district in that capacity. Ho-Ho-Kus Superintendent Deborah Ferrara confirmed that the school board had hired Rinderknecht, adding that he is very knowledgeable. Ferrara said she has been looking into the possibility of sharing the services of a permanent business administrator, and is not discounting that concept. “There are possibilities out there,” she added. Originally from Iowa, Rinderknecht received an associate of arts degree in education from Concordia College at Saint Paul, Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois. He also holds a master’s degree in education from William Paterson College (now William Paterson University). His career in education began in 1962, when he was a teacher and principal at Saint Paul’s Lutheran School in Paterson. He taught the seventh and eighth grades before becoming a teacher-principal. He subsequently served the Wyckoff school district, beginning as a sixth grade teacher and later working as administrative assistant to the superintendent, assistant board secretary, and business administrator/board secretary. He served as business administrator for the Ramsey schools before he joined the regional high school district. While at work in Ramsey, he was instrumental in setting up a consortium of six other school districts for data processing. Rinderknecht is known for his professionalism, communication skills, and busi- Princess 7 Nails & Spa $ ness knowledge. When he steps into his new role on Sept. 1, Rinderknecht will be replacing Anthony D’Achille, who was named interim business administrator this spring. D’Achille began his work May 3. D’Achille’s career in education includes employment as a math teacher in the Middlesex County Vocational Schools. He has also served as co-op industrial education coordinator at Roselle High School. He is a certified math teacher, principal, business administrator, and school administrator. He has served as a business administrator in the Saddle Brook, Northvale, and Teaneck school districts. Now retired from fulltime work, D’Achille’s last post was interim business administrator of the East Newark schools. D’Achille took over for James Davis, who is now business administrator for the Oakland public schools.
