Thrift Shop accepts spring clothing The Clothes Line Thrift Shop is now accepting spring clothing during regular hours, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New items are arriving daily. The Thrift Shop has clothing for children and adults, household items, and jewelry. A new specialty item that recently arrived is a starter drum set priced at $75. Chamber plans meeting The Allendale Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon meeting on Tuesday, April 13 at noon at Mezza Luna, 95 West Allendale Avenue. Fashion Show set/Cash for gold The Allendale Woman’s Club is offering an opportunity to turn unwanted gold items into cash to all attendees of the Allendale Woman’s Club Fashion Show on April 7 at Seasons. Buyers will be on hand during the cocktail hour from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to offer appraisals. Anyone planning to have jewelry appraised during the show must register in advance by contacting Lynn Ullman. The April 7 “Fashion with Heart” show is a benefit for Valley Hospital’s Center for Women’s Heart Health and other local charities. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Seasons of Washington Township and will feature a cocktail reception with an open bar and gourmet dinner, a special auction and gift basket prizes, and the latest fashions. Embroidery Guild sets meeting The Bergen Chapter of the Embroidery Guild of America will meet at 9:30 a.m. on April 12.
