The Waldwick Community Alliance’s car fundraiser is now underway. The prize, a Mercedes-Benz C300, will be on display on East Prospect Street until Dec. 17 and at Borough Park on Waldwick Day, Sept. 25. The winner will be named Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at VFW Post 1049 on Hewson Avenue, Waldwick. Snacks will be served. Tickets are $100, and a maximum of 750 tickets will be sold. Purchase tickets at www.WaldwickCommunityAlliance. org or at the following retail locations in Waldwick: Amster’s Prospect Tavern, Angeliki’s Gyro & Grill, Flowers by Joan, Home Hardware, In the Swing, Maratene’s Fine Wine & Spirits, Massage Envy, Nellie’s Place, Plaza Jewelers, Waldwick Auto Body, Waldwick Auto Service, and Waldwick Paint & Wallpaper. “We are very grateful that these businesses came forward to help support the WCA by being a fundraiser ticket stop,” said WCA Vice President Doug Cowie. “We urge that citizens support those businesses that support the WCA. A full set of rules and regulations will be available on our website and at all the retail locations.” The WCA will continue the Ragamuffin Parade tradition on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. The parade will begin at the public safety building and end at the Waldwick Train Station, where there will be light snacks, refreshments, pumpkin painting, and miniature horses. This event is free of charge. The annual Pasta Dinner will be held Nov. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Waldwick High School. Admission will be $12 for adults and $6 for children under the age of six. The WCA Kitchen Crew will fill up the crowd with delicious food. There will be great prizes in many price ranges, including electronics, toys, games, sports memorabilia, and much more. Businesses and
