John A. Czop of Ridgewood died Nov. 3. He was 92. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was employed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation’s lamp division in Bloomfield for 43 years. He was a member of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, and Pavlick Koster VFW Post #2640, Wallington. He was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul’s Polish National Catholic Church in Passaic. He was a member of the Polish National Union (Spojnia), the Polish National Alliance, and the Polish American Congress. He is survived by his wife Ann (Kozlowicz), his children John D, and Diane McCafferty of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, two grandchildren, his sister Celia Glagola of Wayne, and sister-in-law Stella K. Zak of Rutherford. Arrangements were made by Shook Funeral Home in Clifton. Robert Dilts of Ridgewood died Oct. 28. He was 85. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. After a career in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, he continued his private law practice in the Village of Ridgewood. He was a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, a member of Ridgewood Country Club, and the Elks Club of Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Bogden), his daughter Carolyn Barnabo, one grandchild, and his siblings Evie Gore, Peggy Herz, and Russell Dilts. He was predeceased by his son Robby. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Memorial donations may be made to the Fair Lawn Volunteer Rescue Squad. Margery Perlet Johnson of Ridgewood died Oct. 21. She was 80. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1952, and worked briefly as an elementary school teacher before raising her family. She and her husband were partners in the Welcome Aboard Travel Agency of Ridgewood and Ramsey. She was a volunteer with the Junior League starting in the 1960s, working with emotionally disabled children and starring in several Children’s Theater productions that toured elementary schools across Northern New Jersey. She was a member of West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, where she served as deacon, elder, trustee, and member of the choir. She is survived by her children David Johnson of Jupiter, Florida, Katherine Johnson of Greeley, Colorado, Cynthia Eichling of Wayne, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth McNamara of Park Ridge, and Jennifer Johnson of Westport, Connecticut; her brother William Perlet of Tucson, Arizona; and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin H. Johnson Jr.

Peter Anthony LiPuma of Wyckoff, formerly of Ridgewood and Bluffton, South Carolina, died Oct. 30. He was 73. Before retiring, he was a vice president at Equitable Life Insurance of New York City for 42 years. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood where he served on the Finance Committee and as a Eucharistic minister. Most recently, he was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Marie (nee Freddo) LiPuma of Wyckoff, his children John of Midland Park, James of Midland Park, Linda Kennelly of Oak Ridge, and Karen Sullivan of Waldwick, and nine grandchildren. She was an original client of Life Opportunities Unlimited in Ridgewood. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Wayne A. Morrison of Ridgewood died Oct. 29. He was 78. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked for 39 years for Bendix Aviation in Teterboro, where he was assistant director of employee relations. He had also been employed as a courier for Bergen Commercial Bank. He served as commander of the American Legion Post 53, and was a member of the VFW Post in Glen Rock. He was a member of the Chorwon Chapter 48 Korean War Veterans, and the D.A.V. Chapter 1 of Passaic. He was on the board of directors of the 19th Bomb group, a member of Highlights in Leisure Time, and was one of the original members that started the “Retiree Group” at Honeywell. He was a 1951 graduate of Ridgewood High School, and a 1961 graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood. He served as Tiny Tim Baseball League Director, and Cub Scout Master and Boy Scout Troop Leader in Ridgewood. He was a band parent with the Ridgewood High School Marching Band for many years. He is survived by his wife Dolores (nee Brizzi), his sons Scott Morrison of FuquayVarina, North Carolina, and Glenn Morrison of Smoqualmie, Washington, and one grandson. He was a coach in the Ridgewood Baseball Association during the 1960s, and a weightlifting instructor at the Ridgewood YMCA during the 1960s and 1970s. He was a member of Presentation Church in Upper Saddle River. He is survived by his children Gary of Ridgewood, and Cheryl Fiske of Northampton, Massachusetts, two grandchildren, and his brother Gene of Allendale. He was predeceased by his wife Rita. After working as a jet pilot for Olin Mathieson Co., he sold corporate jets for Rockwell International. He later started his own corporate jet sales company, Wings Associates, at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York. He is survived by his wife Lydia DePaoli Reilly, his children John, Gina Butler, and David, five grandchildren, his brother Kevin Reilly of East Setauket, Long Island, New York. He was predeceased by his parents Genevieve (Healy) and Elmer Reilly, and his brother, William J. Reilly. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, at Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458. Mildred C. Rossi of Ridgewood died Oct. 29. She was 90. Before retiring in 1980, she had been executive secretary at RKO/WOR Mutual Broadcasting System in New York City for many years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood. She is survived by her siblings Michael of Emerson, Gloria Kunert of Ringwood, and Robert Rossi of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Rossi.
