Page 6 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • November 3, 2010 In honor of Veterans Day, Ken Gurbisz, deputy director of operations and programs for the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation, will speak at the Glen Rock Library on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a 15-minute screening of “Tour of Duty, a film that highlights the roles of soldiers who fought in Vietnam. Gurbisz will discuss the memorial and museum, and his own experiences as a Vietnam veteran. Born in Bayonne, Gurbisz served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He was in Vietnam for the Cambodian Incursion in 1970 and was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia when he returned to the United 4-29-09 karen/janine States. He completed his education at New EmmanuelHelp3x.75(4-29-09) Jersey Institute of Technology and worked for Public Service Electric and Gas. After 3 x .75 retiring in 2003, he taught math for five years before taking on the duties of deputy director of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation.
