Concert scheduled
The Jersey Jubilation hand bell concert will be held on Friday, May 14 at 8 p.m. at the Ridgewood United Methodist Church, 100 Dayton Street. The program will include arrangements and transcriptions of the classics including works of Bach, Schubert, Grieg, Strauss, Vivaldi, Handel and Haydn. Mendelssohn’s ‘I Waited for the Lord’ will be sung by Jim Wynne and Scott Lavery. Elizabeth Hartman will play flute on ‘Sheep May Safely Graze.’ The second half of the program will include spirituals, hymns and an arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s ‘The Syncopated Clock.’ A free-will offering will be taken and refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public.
