When travel is an obstacle to appropriate dental care, a licensed dentist from Visiting Dental Associates can provide dental care to homebound individuals in their own home. Each of the eight dentists at Visiting Dental Associates had agreed to treat financially needy homebound residents of Glen Rock free of charge during the month of February. A fully equipped dental clinic was brought into the home, making it comfortable for a patient to seen, even if confined to a wheelchair or bed. Schoenberg is a member of National Honor Society, Mobius, and Spanish Club at Glen Rock High School. Outside of school, she is part of the Glen Rock Library Teen Advisory Group. She also provides academic tutoring to younger students in town. In addition, she enjoys skiing, theater, crafts, and travel. Her most memorable adventure was spending three weeks in Australia as a student ambassador. Working at Blue Rill Day Camp for the past three summers, Schoenberg was awarded its highest recognition of achievement, the Shining Star Award. The new Gold Award recipient plans to pursue a career in the social sciences and dedicate her life to assisting people with special needs.
