Craig scraped his design on a specially treated plate. He later covered the plate with a special cream, washed off the cream, and soaked the plate in paint thinner. The result was a clear, transparent plate with Craig’s design etched upon it. Creating a seder plate: Family workshop at Temple Israel Every traditional Passover seder has a seder plate with six food items that have special significance to the retelling of the story of the exodus from Egypt, which is the focus of this ritual meal. Temple Israel’s religious school offers formal religious school programs for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Seventh grades. Enrollment for the 2009-2010 religious school year begins in May.
